Denise Cooper is a compassionate and accomplished special education professional with more than 20 years of experience serving children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and VBN-Network a framework that breaks language down into distinct categories.

 

Throughout her career with Jersey City Public Schools, Denise has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments. Her work also includes hands-on roles with the State of New Jersey Early Intervention System, a program for infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) with developmental delays, where she supported families and children through crucial developmental milestones.

 

I saw a need to provide additional after-school services for our children to reinforce essential skills, build confidence, and create a safe space that fully supports their unique learning needs. And giving families greater access to resources that promote steady progress and empower every child to reach their potential.

 

Her passion for advocacy inspired the creation of Helping Hands 4 Special Needs—a program that blends creative arts, recreation, and social-emotional learning to build communication, independence, and confidence. For Denise, this is not just a profession; it is her lifelong mission to empower children with special needs and their families.
